Automotive's in-house design team use Autocad software to produce detailed workshop layout drawings as a complimentary service for our clients. We offer "real world" advice and aim to maximize your valuable workshop space and minimize building costs. We can liaise with your architects, builders and planners to produce an effective workshop layout solution.
Here at ASD, we have a proven track record in car and commercial vehicle workshop design with many satisfied Bluechip clients, including major car manufacturers, bus and coach operators, independent franchises and commercial vehicle manufacturers.
At ASD, we are specialists in the design and supply of MOT equipment. To begin with, ASD will send an experienced workshop designer to assess suitability of your existing premises for the appropriate class of vehicle. A full survey will be undertaken and a drawing produced suitable for submittal to your local VOSA Office. After the principle approval is gained, ASD can arrange for the building and electrical works to be carried out with the minimum of disruption to your existing workshop activities. Our building and electrical teams are experienced, qualified and fully conversant with MOT regulations. When preparation works are complete, our garage equipment engineers will install the MOT equipment to VOSA requirements.
We are particularly experienced in the design of ATL (Automated Test Lane) MOT stations; VOSA statistics reveal that 21.6% of three-year old cars fail their first MOT test. Of these vehicles, a significant proportion will require potentially expensive repairs and with an MOT ATL Bay under your own roof, it’s your workshop that will carry out the repair. And with owners keeping their cars for longer, the likelihood is that they would need an MOT test making the need for an MOT Bay all the more imperative.
